On this round trip it is possible to see most of the particularities of nature and landscape in the nature park.
Fischleintal can be reached from Sexten-Moos by bus or car. After the gate there is a trail to Fischleinboden. We then take the trail to Altensteintal. After around 100 meters we leave the trail to the refuge Drei-Zinnen-Hütte and take the one on our left (marking 103), which leads steeply up along the side of Einserkofel, through Bacherntal to the refuge Zsigmondy-Comici-Hütte. From the refuge we walk across the thinly overgrown rocks to Büllelejoch (marking 101). From the refuge Büllelejoch-Hütte (trail on Oberbachernspitze) we follow the trail which leads us along the debris slopes of Bödenknoten and Paternkofel. Initially the trail leads down in steep serpentines; along the slope in direction Toblinger Riedl it becomes almost flat. Soon we reach the refuge Drei-Zinnen-Hütte. From there we descend to Altensteintal on the trail that leads us past the lakes Bödenseen (marking 102). From Altensteintal we finally walk back to Fischleinboden.

|
We reach the car park Antonuisstein by car. From there we walk to Dreischusterhütte (marking 12a). This takes around half an hour. There is a waterfall near the refuge at the end of the valley. At that point a trail (marking 8) forks off on the right into a hanging valley named Kohlalptal. The trail leads through mugo pine meadows and past a few larches struck by lightening. At the end of Kohlalptal, we walk up in serpentine turns to Birkenschartl, which is the gap between the two quiet valleys Kohalptal and Birkental. We cross the gap and descend the steep debris slopes. From the bottom of Birkental, we walk down to Höhlensteintal and reach the Toblach lake after about one kilometer.

| Suggestion 3: Sexten (1,316 m) - Frohne - Außergsell (2,004 m) - Innergsell (2,065 m) - Sexten (1,316 m) |
|
From the central square in Sexten, we follow the street to Moos. After about 100 meters we cross the bridge over the Sexten rivulet on our right. A transport path then leads up to the fields of Frohne near the edge of the forest (marking 12c).
A steep trail (marking 12d) then takes us through the woods of Gsellgraben. Soon we reach the point where the trail to Innergsell forks off. We stay on the trail leading to Außergsell (marking 12d). After crossing the rift, we turn right, walk to the wide meadows and ascend Außergsell.
Around two hours are needed from Sexten to the highest point of Außergsell. From Außergsell a trail (marking 12) leads along the foot of Gsellknoten to Innergsell, located slightly higher than Außergsell. This takes less than an hour. After crossing the debris slopes we walk up to the old military quarters from the First World War, which are still in good condition. From Innergsell there is a marked trail back to Sexten (marking 12, 12c), which leads down the steep slopes near Gsellgraben. Around 1 ½ hours are needed for the descent.

|
We take the cable railway from Bad Moos to Rotwandwiesen. A marked trail (marking 15a) crosses Rotwandwiesen in south-eastern direction and leads to a junction. We stay on the trail marked 15a which leads almost flatly through a light forest and across debris slopes to the foot of Burgstall. We walk around the rock ledge, ascend the slope and then walk down the pine fields to the debris slopes of Neuner. After crossing them we walk down a shrubby meadow to the bunkers and to the bottom station of a ski-lift. We follow the marking 15a and afterwards 124 and reach Kreuzbergpass (1,636 m). From there we walk back to Moos on the trail marked 13a. |
